Over the past few weeks, the presidential election has been the central focus of the American society. Now that the election is over, citizens can sit back, relax, and hop onto their preferred video game console.
On Thursday, Sony officially released their fifth generation playstation. As the Playstation 5 (PS5) competes with Microsoft’s newly launched Xbox Series X and S, the two tech companies’ rivalry continues.
Both companies took different approaches to winning the battle of the consoles. Sony developed Marvel’s Spider-Man: Miles Morales, an exclusive action-adventure game for Playstation users. DFC predicted that PS5 sales would double those of the new Xbox, similar to the previous launches in 2013.
With all the talk about these two tech giants, a third competitor has emerged from the shadows — stores predict that the Nintendo Switch will be the leader in sales for the upcoming holiday season.
While consoles are a source of entertainment for many, especially during the pandemic, these three companies seek to appease die hard gamers and earn their dollars this coming holiday season.
